Aims and Objectives

  • - Review the important considerations in treatment planning – how to utilise pre-op radiographs effectively and their limitations
  • - Evaluate the success of grafting and implant placement post-op
  • - Showcase, through the speakers’ own case studies, how the radiopacity of alloplastic grafts can change over time and how this differs from other materials
  • The above techniques will be illustrated through cases from the speakers’ own clinical experience

Learners will be able to:

  • - Effectively use radiographs to assist with case diagnosis, planning and treatment in complex cases
  • - Know the different bone graft materials available and how material choice can influence long-term radiograph results
  • - The importance of graft resorption and the impact this can have on long-term outcomes
